Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop and Half-Day Retreat for BIPOC

CA$669.72

The Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) workshop is an evidence-based, 8-week program aimed at cultivating self-compassion skills. It combines mindfulness and compassion practices to foster kindness, warmth, and understanding towards oneself. The program involves various activities such as meditation, discussions, and home practices to facilitate direct experiences of self-compassion in daily life. MSC primarily focuses on compassion training rather than therapy, aiming to build emotional resources and foster positive change. While challenging emotions may arise during the practice, the workshop provides a supportive environment to explore and process these feelings. The program consists of 8 weekly sessions, each lasting 2 hours, along with a 4-hour retreat. Sessions will be hosted online over Zoom.

Testimonials

"Committing to this program made a significant difference in my mental and emotional wellbeing. Rami is a brilliant facilitator and I really loved being guided through various aspects of mindfulness and self-compassion. Together, these are two invaluable tools to carry with me as I go through my days, feel my anxiety, and work to be generous with my own emotions. I miss having the allocated time each week to sit down with the group, but what I have taken away is a very worthwhile practice that I hope to keep up and share with loved ones.” -A.S. 28

“I stumbled upon the MSC course and am so grateful. It's only been a short while since the course has finished and I already feel a deeper sense of well-being and am practicing being kinder and more compassionate to myself and those closest to me. The exercises are simple and effective. And, as a the course leader, Rami is both gentle and strong – a woman who practices what she teaches. IMO the world would be a better place if we all took this course and practiced more kindness and self compassion.” -E.A. 42

“It was a great please to attend the 8-week MSC course with Rami. I thought that the course blended a perfect amount of practical knowledge with lots of time to engage in the practices. Throughout the course, Rami was an excellent guide, she was kind and compassionate and clearly knowledgeable on the topic. Although I felt like I gained a lot throughout the course, with some distance I have a more clear understanding of the benefits of the course. I feel as if I have more tools to handle difficult emotions and I feel as if this course has made me more understanding of the difficulties of other people. I feel as if mindful self-compassion has become not only a practice, but a fundamental way of living my life. As someone who will be working in the field of mental health, I feel as if this course will be invaluable to my future practice.” -C.B. 26
